Not the most comfortable type of beach to sit on.
Elaine, you are quite right. My bottom hurts just by imagining it.
hey i would take the pew of the shore in the cathedral of the ocean front..any day
Brian, I now have lakes close by, but I live hours from the ocean and I miss the waves.
Excellent haiku! Love that second line especially :-)
Thanks so much Sara
a good one :)
Best visit the museums :)
I love a good museum
I believe Brighton Beach is the one in my mind that is kind of the ultimate pebbled beach. We visited it in 1987. Hard to walk along a beach like that but I think there was a walkway with beach chairs.
Yes, a prom with deck chairs and a cute little train and I miss it.
Wonderful, lighthearted haiku. The little bursts of alliteration add to the whimsy. Awesome wordsmithing - with so few words.
Thanks Wendy, trying desperately to improve wordsmithing skills. Haiku encourages you to work harder on the words.
Brighton beach and the sound of seagulls. nice.
Hi AlanI don't miss the noise of the gulls.
such fun ... the view not sitting on pebbles
Absolutely right, although as a memory the pebbles are something special
Thanks for reading it. I appreciate your encouragement.
I don't see my comment here. Hmmm. Anyway, the view from a beach of pebbles is always wonderful, IF you can ignore the uncomfortable seats!
The uncomfortable seats are all part of the experience
Brought back memories of when I was visiting Brighton beach!
Good ones I hope Nicholas
